It’s that time of year again. 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗱 and 𝗗𝘂𝗻𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 are getting ready for this year’s 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗩𝗔. This event brings students, families, and our community together for a night that reminds kids they are valued and supported.

Shot this weathered Massey Ferguson on my in-laws’ land with the Canon FTb after fixing the light seals. This was also my second time developing color film at home, Fujifilm 200.

I really need to close down the aperture so I get more of it in focus. Playing with my 50mm at f1.4 doesn't work all the time.

Had fun going out and doing this shoot from @rva_photographers_collective . I went out the first time with my film camera using a red filter, and nothing came out well. Used my digital that day and they were fine. Then went out again with my Canon EOS 3 and an orange filter and it worked out well.

Here’s a timelapse from Lake Monocan I took during our spring break trip to the mountains. It was really cool to just sit and enjoy the view, especially after how the week went. We had my grandma’s funeral on Friday, which was tough. Spending time capturing this gave me a chance to think and just be in the moment.

Went to the mountains last weekend to check out my parents' new place. It's pretty awesome – they've got a lake for swimming, paddleboarding, and fishing, plus mountains for hiking. Jes and I managed to sneak in a hike and a winery visit, baby-free. Took some pictures of the lake with my Canon EOS A2.

This weekend I saw ‘A Small Band’ by Glenn Ligon right in the main entrance of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, and I have to say, this neon art is pretty cool. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to have the lights out in the words ‘blood’ and ‘bruise,’ but it makes everything stand out against the light from the window.
