Made it up to Wintergreen Resort this past Saturday for the annual pond skimming event. Costumes, wipeouts, and a few impressive skim attempts across the water made for a fun day on the mountain.

I looked out the window and saw this Chickadee in the backyard. I love how they puff up in the cold. They move fast and don’t stay long, so I was lucky to grab this when I could.

It’s that time of year again. 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗱 and 𝗗𝘂𝗻𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 are getting ready for this year’s 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗩𝗔. This event brings students, families, and our community together for a night that reminds kids they are valued and supported.

All of our sponsor spots are filled and volunteer roles are full. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁. We didn’t receive our grant this year, so every donation helps us make sure every student receives their gifts and feels included.

Shot this weathered Massey Ferguson on my in-laws’ land with the Canon FTb after fixing the light seals. This was also my second time developing color film at home, Fujifilm 200.

I really need to close down the aperture so I get more of it in focus. Playing with my 50mm at f1.4 doesn't work all the time.

Had fun going out and doing this shoot from @rva_photographers_collective . I went out the first time with my film camera using a red filter, and nothing came out well. Used my digital that day and they were fine. Then went out again with my Canon EOS 3 and an orange filter and it worked out well.

Here’s a timelapse from Lake Monocan I took during our spring break trip to the mountains. It was really cool to just sit and enjoy the view, especially after how the week went. We had my grandma’s funeral on Friday, which was tough. Spending time capturing this gave me a chance to think and just be in the moment.
